16 December 2014. Paul Verschure and his team with the H5W-iCub robot pertcipated at the 2014 edition of the CHRISTMAS LECTURES®, the UK's flagship science series. see http://www.rigb.org/. These are legendary christmas-lectures initiated by Micheal Faraday in 1825 and now broadcast on UK national television by BBC every year since 1960.
During the Christmas lectures hosted by Prof. Danielle George, Prof. Paul Verschure will be talking to an audience of 300 students, age between 10 and 14, about convergent science, social robotics and the machines of the future. H5W will be giving a brief piano solo performance and a jam session with a full robot orchestra.
